Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my appointments last?

The initial assessment will last 60 minutes and follow up session will last anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on what we have to do.

Generally, yes but this all depends on what we find in the initial assessment and what we need to do to get you out of pain and build resilience so that pain doesn’t return. Worst case scenarios are built into every bespoke Rehab Plan to make sure you go beyond what you need and your body has the capacity to deal with the demands you’re placing on it, whether that’s for sport, work or everyday living.

I practice Neuromuscular Therapy and Physical Therapy. I also have qualifications in Strength & Conditioning. However, the main scope of my practice comes from the additional learning and CPD I have done. I have dedicated myself to learning from world class Practitioners such as Dave O’Sullivan at ProSport, Integrated Kinetic Neurology, David Grey, Leon Cassin, Gary Ward and many more. I bring all of this knowledge together to use a systematic, common sense, based on clinical reasoning. Everything is explained and you will understand why and how to do everything we go through.

I don’t use the traditional physio approach. Global literally means “encompassing all of something”, so this is how I view the human body. Nothing works in isolation and, unless it’s an acute injury, pain is usually the result of more than one contributing factor. Usually, in chronic cases, the site of pain is as a result of something else contributing to this and painful area just doing too much or becoming sensitised. Through high level assessments and interventions, I address the whole body or globally and prioritise interventions accordingly to get you out of pain and back better than ever. The movements and exercises I give are specific to your complaint and will allow you to take ownership of your body for the long term.

I do both. It all depends on what you need and what stage the injury / pain is at. I use hands on predominantly in the earlier stages to help reduce pain and use a combination of movement and exercises to build capacity needed to get you back doing the things you love.

Yes. We’ll go through everything you’ll need to do at home during the sessions. You can do videos of the movements/exercises to follow along to at home too. I also send follow up emails, with a recap of the session and where we are in our Rehab Plan so you know exactly what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and what we need to do next.
